The character in the clip is Lin Chong, a fictional character in the famous novel Water Margin. Later, Li Kaixian (1502-1568) wrote a chuanqi play based on his story entitled The Story of a Sword (see Xiqu). Being framed several times, the former general Lin Chong has finally decided to join the outlaws at Liangshan Marsh. It is a snowy night, Lin sings his anger and frustration.
